# What languages are supported by Meminto?

### Meminto Language Support — Quick Overview

* Life Books are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German
* [All other Books](https://helpdesk.meminto.com/en/article/which-meminto-book-is-the-right-one-for-my-purpose-635dzm/) can be started in English, German and afterwards can be translated into any other language.
* You can still write questions and answers in many other languages
* Supported languages are those written from left to right
* Audio transcription (StoryScribe) supports [multiple languages](https://helpdesk.meminto.com/en/article/record-audio-and-transform-to-text-transcription-1hltb4r/)
* Fonts can be adjusted if characters are not displayed correctly
* A 1-click translation with Meminto AI makes it easy to translate answers into multiple languages 

| Supported Languages in Meminto Life Books:

We often receive questions about whether [Meminto](https://meminto.com) is available in different languages. The answer is: **Yes!**
Here you can find an overview of which languages are currently supported and how multilingual books work in Meminto. 

**Question Collections & Book Creation**
When starting a Meminto Life Book using one of our question collections, you can currently choose between:
* English
* German
* Spanish
* Portuguese (PT & BR)

Once your book is created, you are not limited to that language anymore. You can continue writing and answering questions in almost any language you prefer.

|| Important Limitation:

At the moment, Meminto only supports languages that are written from left to right. Because of this, languages such as Hebrew and Arabic are currently not supported.

**Using Other Languages**
Would you like family members in another country to answer the questions in their native language?

Example:

If your parents live in Korea and prefer Korean, you can:

1. Start the book in English
2. [Translate the questions](https://helpdesk.meminto.com/en/article/how-to-translate-questions-into-another-language-7finrb/)

They can then answer directly in Korean, and the content will still work inside the Meminto editor.

**After creating it, check the preview carefully:**
* Are all characters displayed correctly?
* Does the font support your language properly?
If some characters appear incorrectly, you can usually fix this under: **Layout & Printing → Font Settings**
