Page break: Start a question on a new page

There are two types of page breaks in Meminto:

  1. Page breaks within an answer or a section
  2. Page breaks between individual questions
  3. Page breaks for individual responses from multiple participants in a shared book

1. Page breaks within an answer or a section

If you want to manually insert a page break within an answer of yours, this can be accomplished by adding the element "page break."

  • Place your cursor at the position where you want the new page to start.
  • Click on the toolbar that appears at the bottom.
  • Select Pagebreak (icon at the far right).

2. Page breaks between individual questions

If you want a new question (or its heading) to start on a new page in your book, you can enable a page break directly in the question settings:

  1. Go to Write in the left menu.
  2. Select the question you want to adjust and switch to the Settings tab.
  3. Activate the option “Page break for this question” by turning on the toggle.

This will ensure that this question begins on a new page in the final printed book.

There is also the option of generally starting each heading on a new page. This setting can be found here:

Layout & Print > Step 2 > Page break after each story > activate

3. Page breaks for individual responses from multiple participants in a shared book

If you have added multiple participants to a book, it may happen that their name appears on one page and their response is broken onto the next page. To avoid this unsightly break, you can set the placement on a new page for each individual response separately:

To do this, go to the "Write" section and find the text of the relevant person that should be displayed on a new page. There, in the bottom right, select "Begin on a new page" by turning on the option.
