How can an image from the media library be used for the book cover?
It is not directly possible to use an image that has been uploaded in advance from the media library as the cover for the book. Here’s how it still works indirectly with a little trick!
If you want to use an existing image from your media library for your cover without having to re-upload it in the cover editor, you can simply copy the file path (file URL) of the image and paste it into the corresponding field.
To do this, go to your media library and select the image intended for the cover. Then, click the "Copy" button next to the file path or copy the entire address to your clipboard (CTRL+C):

If the image is not visible immediately, please wait a moment. Then, simply click outside the field to apply and confirm your input.
Now switch to your cover editing (Layout & Printing > Step 4). Click on the image that should be replaced or add a new image ("image") from the "Elements" section (left side).
Then replace the existing text in the "Source" area or paste the previously copied file path using CTRL+V:

This way, you do not have to upload the image again and can reuse it.
