How do I edit the cover of my book?

In this article you will learn how to edit the cover of your book.

After you have answered all the questions or written all the sections of the individual chapters, it's time to work on the layout of your book.

Choose a Template

Go to Layout & Release in the menu and click your way through to step 3 using the Save and continue button (top right).
Choose a template for the cover of your book. (Text and images can be individually adjusted in the next step.)
Confirm your selection with Save and continue.

The Cover Editor

As soon as you are in the cover editor, you can click on each individual element to select it.
Once an element is selected, it can be edited in the right sidebar.

First, select the image on the front and click on Upload in the right sidebar to insert your own image.

Now select the title, subtitle, and any other labels on the cover in order to edit them in the right sidebar.

Edit Text

To edit a text, select it on the cover by clicking on it. You can then edit it in the right sidebar:
(1) In the text field, you can change the text itself.
(2) The font size and font type can also be adjusted and changed.
(3) You can also change the colour of the font to suit your taste.

Change the Background Color

To change the background color of the entire cover, first select the background layer.
Then change the background colour to any colour of your choice.

Add Images, Text or Shapes

To make the cover even more unique, additional images, texts, or shapes can be added.
Click on the Components tab in the left sidebar. Drag & drop the desired item onto the cover.
Customise the added item in the right sidebar.
The blue buttons at the top of the right sidebar allow you to move the item one layer forward or backward.
Use the red trash can icon to delete the added item.

Once you're happy with the book cover, just click on Save and Continue to get to the final view of your book.
