What Happens When You Record or Upload Audio

Once you record or upload an audio, Meminto automatically creates a QR code linked to that recording. This QR code is printed in your book next to the related story.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Record your audio or upload an existing audio file.
Click Save.

Go to My Books.
Click Preview.
The QR code will appear in the book preview.

How Readers Use It

The QR code is printed in the final book.
Readers scan the QR code using their phone’s camera.
They can instantly listen to the author’s story through audio.

How can I invite participants or add contributors to the book (or remove them)?

|| You can easily add contributors to your Meminto Stories book. This way you can write a book with your partner, family or friends or just let them read along.

To share your book with others, click on the button with the people at the top right.

Select which access rights you would like to give to the other participants. You can either assign reading permissions or writing permissions.

Grant write permissions

Everyone who receives this link can contribute to your book!

Copy the link by clicking on the copy button on the right. (Alternatively, you can also generate a QR code).
Now you can send this link via e-mail or any messenger.

|| If you don't want to influence each other while writing, activate "Avoid influence when writing". || If you do not want the participants to add new questions to the book, deactivate "Ask questions". The participants are only able to answer the existing questions then.

To finish the process, click on "Save".

You have installed the Meminto app from your AppStore on your smartphone
You have given the app permission to use the microphone and save recordings
You have a Meminto account and an active book project and are logged in

Select the question you want to record an answer to. You will then see the microphone button at the bottom of the screen.

If you don't own a book yet:

Create your 30-day test account here or buy the blank book directly here , which you can then fill with your content. You can then create chapters that will show up in the table of contents. Within each chapter you can add text sections, in which you can also upload images.

If you already own a book:

Go to the overview of your books (“My books”). Select your book there. Click on “Book Details”. Behind the Left Questions you will find the button “delete”. If you click there, all your questions that you haven't answered yet will be deleted. The categories will remain. You can still access the Meminto questions via the Discover Questions page.

How do I enable spell checking in my browser?

**Here you can learn how to enable the spell checker for your browser. **This will allow you to detect and correct spelling errors in the text field. The function is explained for Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Google Chrome.

Microsoft Edge:

Click on the menu in the browser. Those are the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
Click there on "Extensions". Here you can see which extensions are already installed.
To install the Spell Checker extension, click on "Get extensions for Microsoft Edge".
Search for "spell checker" at the top left of the box.
We recommend the LanguageTool extension. Now click on "Get".
A small window will appear. Click there on "Add extension".
It takes a few seconds until the extension is downloaded.
Now you agree that LanguageTool can check your texts. Now the extension is installed.
Under Extensions you can see if the spell checker is activated. There you can also deactivate it.
If you misspell a word in your text field, it will be displayed and you can correct it.

Firefox:

Click on the menu in the upper right corner of the browser and then on "Add-ons".
Search for "spell checker" in the box at the top. The LanguageTool extension is recommended.
Now click on "Add to Firefox".
